Another Mimic from Zealot Miniatures is ready for the gaming table! This time it's the Bed Mimic (as well as the Bed):
This is one of my favorite mimics. It's just so fierce and awesome! :D

Painting Fire was always a challange for me but this time I'm quite happy with the look. :)

Miniature Spotlight: Cupboard Mimic and Cupboard from Zealot Miniatures
Mimics! For me one of the coolest, craziest and funniest monsters on the gaming table is a Mimic (and Beholders but more on that on a later date). Zealot Miniatures, Reaper Miniatures as well as Wizkids have a few really awesome ones and so I started to get some of those on my painting table. The first one to be finished is the awesome Cupboard Mimic from Zealot Miniatures:
For me it's more of an undead ghoulish Cupboard Mimic because of the strong "Monster in a Box feeling" of this Mimic than a traditional Mimic but non the less this sculpt is awesome. And what I really like about Zealot Miniatures: You can also get the Cupboard without the Mimic so you can use it to make the players nervous every time they see it on the gaming table. :D
The main Body of the Mimic was painted with Citadel Russ Grey, Citadel Fenrisian Grey and Vallejo Wolf Grey and shaded with 1:3 Drakenhof Nightshade and Lahmian Medium. The wood was painted with Vallejo Charred Brown, Beasty Brown and Khaki and shaded with 1:1 Agrax Earthshade and Lahmian Medium. I made the base out of cork and painted it with Vallejo Dark Sea Grey, Cold Grey and Stonewall Grey and Vallejo Ivory, shaded with 1:3 Nuln Oil and Lahmian Medium.
