Miniature Spotlight: Prince Duvalle from the Crimson Court

I love vampires. Vampire movies and TV-shows, books, video games and RPGs, it's all amazing and great. When Games Workshop released the Soulblight Gravelords I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. They are absolutely awesome! Here is my finished Prince Duvalle from the Crimson Court:

Miniature Spotlight: Boggleye from the Gobbapalooza Box

One of my favorite models from the Gobbapalooza Box is the Boggleye. Such a creepy but fun sculpt. I love it! :)

Miniature Spotlight: Age of Sigmar Chaos Lord from Games Workshop

I really, really like the new Slave to Darkness models. I had the Chaos Lord lying around for quite a while (he was on a square base when I bought him) and I was quite eager to make a test model for the color scheme. I decided to go with a blueish-black main color and red as a secondary color somewhat close to the classic look. Two of the colors I find most difficulty to paint are black and red so this would be a challenging project.

But I'm happy with the way he turned out. Not too happy. But happy. ;)

This is such an over the top miniature, I really like it. A great addition for my Khorne army.

Miniature Spotlight: Gloomspite Gitz - Stabbas and Shootas - from Games Workshop

I had a bit of free time on my hand and after careful consideration I started to work on the dozens of projects I already have on my worktable in order to reduce the number of unfinished miniatures (hundreds, hundreds!!!) that populate my hobby space...

...just kidding, I started a new army:

The Gloomspite Gitz! A lot of Stabbas and a few Shootas. These were fun to paint. So crazy and different, I really like them. :)

Miniature Spotlight: Thorns of the Briarqueen from the Warhammer Underworlds Nightvault Set

I painted the really awesome Thorns of the Briarqueen, a Nighthaunt warband from the Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault Set:

The Thorns of the Briarqueen consist of 7 miniatures: The Briar Queen in the center, the Ever-Hanged (front row left), Varclav the Cruel (front row reight) and 4 Chainrasps. One of the 4 was very elusive, because I accidentally put him in the post about the Chainrasps Horde from the Soul Wars Set:

But he is actually part of the Thorns of the Briarqueen. :)

Miniature Spotlight: Lady Olynder, Mortarch of Grief from Games Workshop

I really enjoyed painting Lady Olynder, Mortarch of Grief from Games Workshop. It's a great model to paint even though it is very shaky with just one small connection to its base. But it really captures the illusion of a giant flowing undead creature on the gaming table perfectly.

Miniature Spotlight: The Necromancer from Games Workshop

My undead army is growing with might and magic:

I bought the Necromancer from Games Workshop when he was still on a square base so I converted him to a round base. As with the Wight King with Baleful Tomb Blade I really like the static, powerful pose of the miniature combined with the dynamic of his robes.

Miniature Spotlight: Wight King with Baleful Tomb Blade from Games Workshop

I bought the Wight King with Baleful Tomb Blade from Games Workshop quite a while ago and finally found time to paint it:

I really like this miniature. He looks like a powerful leader of an undead force and the mixture of the static pose with the dynamic of the cloak really works for me.
